Formed in 2016 and based in Drogheda, Co. Louth, The Pulse is a professional, high-energy wedding band performing at weddings and celebrations across Dublin, Meath, Monaghan, Cavan, and beyond. Known as one of the leading wedding bands in the North East, we've had the privilege of performing at hundreds of weddings in some of Ireland's most prestigious venues.

While we’re based around Louth, Meath, Dublin, Cavan, and Monaghan, we regularly travel nationwide to make celebrations extra special. Please note, additional travel fees may apply for events outside our core area.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do the band play for?

We perform for 2.5 hours, split over two halves, typically from 9pm to 12am. This includes a short break for evening food.

What areas do you cover?

We cover all 32 counties of the island of Ireland and have also performed at weddings abroad. Get in touch with us today.

Do you provide a DJ?

Yes, we do — and it's treated as a separate service with its own professional PA and lighting show. We don't use long mixes, so you get the same professional standard as with the band. The DJ plays from 12 to 2am, and unfortunately, due to venue time limits, he can't play "one more tune" after 2am.

Do you showcase?

Yes, we perform showcases every 6 to 8 weeks. We book a wedding venue and invite couples along to see us perform part of our set. Our showcases are relaxed, fun, and informative, with no pressure or obligation to book.

Will the band we see at your showcase be the band we get on the night?

Yes. If a band member is sick or unavailable, we'll let you know a suitable replacement has been arranged. We've had the same members since 2017 and the crew rarely need a night off. Some bands don't use the same musicians every wedding — bands like that don't tend to gel as well as ones who play together week in, week out.

Can you perform a special request — first dance?

Absolutely! We love making our performances special and can accommodate song requests with prior notice.

How do we book The Pulse Wedding Band Ireland?

Booking is easy — simply contact us through our website or give us a call. We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date.

Is a booking fee required?

Yes, a booking fee is required to secure the date. We can hold a date for one week upon request.

Is the booking fee refundable?

Booking fees cover administrative work carried out at the time of booking and are non-refundable. If the band is cancelled within 3 months of the date, 50% of the balance is due.

 

When does the balance have to be paid?

The balance can be paid in cash on the night, during the band's set-up.

Will the band play a good mixture of songs to suit all our guests?

Absolutely. We're a generalist wedding band, covering a wide variety of hits to keep everyone dancing. If the crowd calls for more jives, waltzes, country, or rock 'n' roll, we read the room and adjust — we can also bring in more modern, 90s, and 00s tracks when needed.

Will I have access to someone if I have any queries?

Yes. We're fully attentive to our couples' needs and make the booking process easy. We're on hand for emails, messages, and calls, replying within 24 hours at most — usually sooner. Our team sees everything through, from your first enquiry to the last song of the night.
